Surfrider Foundation

Lend a hand and volunteer with the Surfrider Foundation. The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. Get involved in local, regional and national Surfrider levels and be a part of the change. They work extremely hard to preserve and protect the ocean, waves and beaches. Volunteers work to make sure that beaches are accessible, oceans are protected, our water is clean, coasts are preserved and plastic and garbage is removed from our waterways. Learn more about Surfrider and get involved today!

 Clean Up The Coast

Does your love run deep like the ocean? Join the Ocean Conservancy movement and help save the ocean. Protecting the ocean is a global issue and a global movement that affects all humans living on planet Earth. Since 1972, the Ocean Conservancy has been dedicated to finding solutions for healthy oceans and the wildlife, human and communities that depend on it. Newport Beach hosts a large beach clean up day in September which is part of the California Coastal Cleanup Day. More than 80,000 people helped pick up 18 millions pounds of trash that would have otherwise found its way into the ocean. This day is a great one to be a part of, and you can also take it upon yourself to lead more beach clean ups in Newport Beach! You too can become a true voice of the ocean! Learn more about Ocean Conservancy.
