Prepare For The Weather

As moving day approaches keep an eye on the upcoming weather and how that could possibly impact your moving day. Take a look around your home and inspect your surroundings. If rain is in the forecast you’ll want all of your drains to be clear and working properly. Make sure all of the walkways and driveways are clear and that water can run off into the drains without clogging and causing a backup. It’s important to check out your current house, but also don’t forget ton inspect the condition of your new home your moving into. This will make moving while it rains a whole lots easier and less stressful.

Hire Professional Movers

There's never any shame when it comes to asking for help. Hiring movers is always a good idea if you want some assistance during the move. These trained professionals can really help lighten your load and take the stress off your shoulders. When it comes to selecting a moving company be sure to find one that has a trusted reputation. Pro Packing Tips

The last thing you’ll want is to move into your new home and discover that half of your belongings have broken or were ruined during the move. Weather can quickly ruin your most prized possessions so it’s best to keep them dry and all in one piece. You know what they say - It’s better be to be safe than sorry. To keep your items dry during your move, meet your new best friends - plastic wrap and plastic trash bags. Who knew these 2 regular household items could be so useful for packing? It's likely you'll pack the majority of your items from clothes to artwork to dishware into cardboard boxes, so after they're all packed and sealed, wrap them with plastic wrap or put large trash bags around the entire boxes. This will keep water out and prevent water damage.
