The Famously Festive Christmas Boat Parade in Newport Beach is a Must-See
The Newport Beach Christmas Boat parade is one of Newport's biggest claim to fames and draws spectator from near and far. It's back for another fabulous and festive year featuring the theme "jingle on the waves." The parade starts December 15 and goes through Decemer 19, 2020 from 6:30pm - 9pm each night. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are not to be missed as that's when the "Big Boat" makes it's grand appearance.

This yuletide favorite has a long history dating all the way back to 1919 when Joseph Beek, the owner and operator of the Balboa Ferry, started the “Balboa Tournament of Lights”. This year marks the 113th year of this fantastic tradition and is no to be missed! Parade participants will start from the east end of Lido Island following the celebrated route, with the first public viewing destination at the 10.5-acre Marina Park. The community park offers 170+ parking spaces, nautical-themed playground, picnic area and sailing center, and is also the largest public viewing area along the parade route, creating an wonderful location to gather and enjoy the festivities.
