Had a great stay here- would definitely come again but next year I think we will book two weeks. They did a really great job with the space. Hosts were very responsive when we had needs. Garage space is a big plus. We brought bikes and that’s our favorite way to get around since parking is limited on the island. The downside is the staircase next to the alleyway/ driveway- which we knew about- but these drivers are race car drivers. Did help when a neighbor put out an orange kid to remind the crazies to slow down and we reminded the kids to tread lightly when exiting the stairs- but that has more to do with inconsiderate drivers than anything and reminded us to slow down when we were driving the alleys.

This newly renovated rental was a very clean & comfortable, and my family of four enjoyed our stay! The location is great, the unit is above the garage on a home that fronts the bay, so we were steps to the water. The beds were super comfortable. During our stay, we were unable to use the garage due to road construction outside of the host's control, but that was communicated in advance. Future guests will really enjoy this amenity.
Of note to those unfamiliar with Balboa Island, at 7AM the jets start taking off from John Wayne and don't stop until about 10PM. Balboa Island is directly under the flight path, so it's loud. It didn't ruin our fun by any means but we are an early to bed early to rise family and it got a little annoying in the evenings as the windows are usually open to enjoy the sea breeze.
Overall a great stay, we boated, walked, dined, and shopped on Balboa and had a very nice stay. Thank you!

The peace of our stay was substantially altered by major street drain repairs which neither the owners or property management co had notice of more than 3 days before our arrival. The management co was VERY helpful intrying to rectify the problem and offered a move to larger property options in the surrounding Peninsula though we choose to stay. We will definitely choose this same property for future stays.
