About the property

This recently fully renovated Balboa Island 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom back unit beach house is centrally located on the island with close access to the Balboa Ferry and historic Marine Avenue. This home features an open, airy living room with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. The patio is perfect for family gatherings where you can enjoy comfortable outdoor dining with a patio table and a small BBQ.

The kitchen has plenty of counter space for preparing food and extra storage. The Master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has a bunk bed with a full and twin bed. Both bedrooms share the full bathroom situated between them. The unit has a shared laundry room with the lower unit guests complete with a washer and dryer. You have have full access to park 2 cars in the garage.

This beach house is in prime location on Balboa Island. Go for a walk around the island and stroll along historic Marine Avenue. Indulge in one of Balboa Island's famous frozen banana or a Balboa Bar. Explore the area via the ferry to visit the Balboa Village on the Peninsula and take in the views of the Balboa Pier.

Pros: The property is as the pictures: modern, updated and beautiful and clean. The location is amazing right next to the ferry to go to the beach and a 10minute beautiful gorgeous walk to the main shopping road on balboa island. There is a really great coffee shop and restaurant one minute around the corner too.
Cons: The management has its own platform off of airbnb which was a bit annoying to use but no big deal. We had one issue that one bed was covered in sand. It’s obvious the sheets are clean but the bed covers are probably not washed after every stay because they didn’t seem as clean. However, when I brought the issue up they fixed it pretty quickly and brought us new bed covers which we appreciate. One other annoying thing was the extensive check out and cleaning instructions - we are already paying at $250 cleaning fee! One of the reasons Airbnb is starting to fail as it’s unfortunately common practice to not let you know until after you’ve paid. We are on vacation!

Great stay and pleased with the location and remodeled place. Our only disappointment was that the air conditioning didn’t work very well and we were hot most of the time. Also, the master bed rolled around on the floor when getting in/out. Seems like a rug under bed would be nice. Otherwise, nice stay!

Enjoyed our stay . During the day in June parking could be hard to find if you have a larger vehicle. However, parking available in evening when most people visiting the island for the day leave. Great remodeled unit.

Definitely made my trip to Newport Beach for a conference much more enjoyable. Great location w a coffee shop and Mexican restaurant nearby. Very quiet at night and very walkable to the little “town” w shopping, dessert shops and restaurants.

Very short garage but we were able to squeeze in diagonally a ford explorer. Perfect location. Amazing kitchen, wish it had some ‘leftover’ items if people stayed there previously like butter or ketchup so you don’t have to buy everything. The new restaurant behind the alley, todos santos is AMAZING. 10/10. Loved playing shuffleboard when there wasn’t a car in the driveway.
