My first trip to California was made even better by staying at this adorable cottage on Balboa Island! It was very clean and comfortable. It was a real plus to have a garage on the island, as the street parking was insane. We especially liked hanging out on the front patio in the nice weather.

Super cute place. Felt clean and comfortable. Balboa Island is lovely and this home reflects the quaint island vibes. The island can be crowded so the garage parking is a huge plus. Dealing with a property manager does not give you the personal touch we have experienced from other rentals; we were disappointed with their slow communication but this does not reflect the property and we would enjoy staying there again. It is frustrating to have a huge cleaning fee and then still be responsible for the trash and stripping the beds, towels, etc..

Excellent location. Cute place. Only issues were many of the electrical outlets need repair and couldn’t even hold a plug for a charger and the 2nd bedroom had pocket doors that wouldn’t close completely for privacy (about a 1 inch gap).
Can’t beat the location and value
