CDM Oasis!

Fabulous beach cottage getaway! My husband and I spent a month at this wonderful beach town Oasis. The indoor / outdoor living was amazing and felt so private and comfortable. The private pool and hot tub made us feel like we had our own private resort. The rooftop deck was amazing for catching the evening sun and a cocktail before dinner. We loved hopping on our bikes and cruising to the beach (5 minutes away) or grabbing a bite to eat at many top notch restaurants. The kitchen was fantastic being fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals at the house when we wanted to stay in. Plenty of comfortable spaces to watch TV, hang out, read books and even work. PCH is only a few blocks away and provides quick access to freeway and airport. We cannot wait to be able to return!!!

Amazing cottage in lovely neighborhood

Corona Del Mar is one of the few communities left along the Southern California coast that still has a small beach community atmosphere; with a beautiful beach, lovely parks, and palm tree lined residential streets.  Staying at this Larkspur home with the original beach community structure and updated interior was so delightful.   It was just blocks from the beach and had several restaurants on PCH within easy walking distance.  On the property, just behind the garage and front privacy gate was a brick courtyard complete with a pool, hot tub, outdoor dining area, barbecue and tropical landscaping.  It was so relaxing to lounge here by the pool.  Inside the home, we enjoyed a large master bedroom (with a view of the pool through French doors), large walk-in closet and bath on the first floor with a kitchen (fully stocked for cooking) and a living room that still recalls the original cottage atmosphere with shiplapped walls and a large fireplace. The second floor had 2 more bedrooms, bath and a large outdoor patio with lounge chairs and a view over all the property; another great place to lounge in the sun and still enjoy privacy. We truly enjoyed our stay at this home.

Corona Del Mar Standout

This house is a standout in Corona Del Mar. My kids and I really liked the interior furnishings, indoor/outdoor relaxing areas, and of course the private full size pool and hot tub were a huge hit. Stunning to sit outside in the evening and have a barbecue. Great proximity to beaches, shops, transport (SNA). We have stayed at this home multiple times and plan to come back again. Definitely recommend!

Older house with rats and algae in pool

This was the second summer we stayed at the house. It is an older house with few conveniences but it does have a nice pool, nice grill and a great location in a very walkable neighborhood. When we moved in the inside of kitchen cabinets were dusty and needed to be wiped down and some cups were dirty. Many cups and utensils and none of the pots and pans can be put in the dishwasher so you have to be prepared to wash things by hand. There aren’t a lot of serving platters so if you want to have a nice gathering it is inconvenient. Newport Beach vacation properties did what they could but we saw and heard rats in the pool area and in the walls of the house as soon as we moved in. Rats remained present when we moved out 5 weeks later. The garden was overgrown which contributed to the rat problem and the gardeners spent over an hour noisily cutting back the plants . This caused lots of debris to fall into the pool making it dirty and we had to wait several days for it to be cleaned. The pool algae was dealt with by adding lots of chemicals but it never fully cleared up and patches of green remained. The Bathroom upstairs is tight and dank. There is no AC so we kept windows open but there are no screens so lots of bugs entered the house. We also had an issue with internet connectivity but this was resolved in 24 hours with the cable company. Many of these issues are reflection the age and deferred maintenance of the house. The property manager did the best they could. So if you are willing to put up with these issues then it is a great location.
